Before there was E.L. James 50 shades of Grey, there was Zane's Addicted. Once described as "The hottest paperback in the country" by the New York Times. The hit novel now has a major motion picture disturbed by LionGates. Zane introduced many readers to sexual explicit content but when E.L. James hit novel 50 shade of Grey hit the scene, it was if sexual erotica content had just been birth. The lack of honor to the queen erotica made me ask the question, Is Black Authors underrated or hyped?
